“After I had my two kids, I was looking for some much needed exercise and toning, and had always wanted to try Pilates. I looked for classes that were small in number, so that I could have more feedback, and more one on one instruction about my technique. This led me to Balanced Body and their Mat classes. Laura Cornish was my instructor, and she taught my Beginner Mat class for the year. However, I spent that year longingly staring at the people on the Reformer every time I came to the studio! I asked about classes on the reformer, and if any spots were available, and when one came open, I took it. I WAS HOOKED! Not only did it supply me with the much needed core exercises, but I got to do this wonderful cardio workout adding the jump board to the reformer. I added a second class each week, and have continued that trend for 2 years. I have been very lucky to have instruction from both Shari and Laura on the reformer, and love that their styles are different, but that both are helping me achieve my goals. I feel stronger (great back muscles), have tighter abdominal muscles than ever before, my balance is improved and I am enjoying wonderful friendships with both of these women, and others in my classes.
